A Dream

I had a new dream last night. I am completely baffled. It seems full of symbolism, but I can't figure it out.

I dreamed that I woke up (that's my favorite beginning for any dream-- so disorienting in its banality). I walked from my bedroom to my back door and opened the door. There was a second door. I opened that door and there was a third door. It opened to the outside just like it should except my screen door was gone (no great loss. I need to replace that screen door anyway). The doors were slightly different than my current back door in that they had no windows. They looked just like my bedroom door-- painted white, old doorknob with a skeleton key lock. Outside, it appeared that someone had picked up. My bushes tend to catch trash from the wind, but someone had picked up trash. Near the lilac bushes, however, there was a box of Cheerios. I walked to it and inside were wads of cash at the top. Underneath the wads of cash were a few mini-boxes of Cheerios. (A note on the foliage-- everything was arrayed just as it is currently. There was not any snow outside and the lilac bushes were leafless and budless).

Let me know what life changes my subconscious is attempting to communicate in my sleep.

I studied this on my lunch break...

To dream that you are waking up in your dream, indicates that something is missing or lacking in your life. There is an aspect of your life that you are not utilizing to its fullest potential. You are not recognizing your abilities.

The bedroom part is what you keep private.

Opened doors mean new opportunities

If opened to the outside it means that you need to be more accessible to others.

The Cheerios indicate you are starting something new, a new stage in your life

The neat yard shows you can maintain your outside life and you are not out of control, but since someone else maintained it, maybe God is helping you with that.

Finding treasure means that you have unveiled a hidden skill or talent.

thanks. interesting analysis of the door opening to the outside. i wonder if 3 successive doors indicates multiple layers that need to be open, 3 different sets of people, or specific events that i need to be open about.
hmm...

I don't need no stinkin' website. Joseph didn't use a website, Daniel didn't use a website. I am neither Daniel nor Joseph but I am sometimes perceived to be clever ( yes, it is only a perception ( mostly by myself)).
You wake up... this is the first opening, of one's eyes, and not to a dream as of such, but to the reality that is your own room. You walked... you did not respond to a knock, so you were responding to some inclination to open the door, perhaps a compulsion, or a subconsience inkling (you awoke from bed and went to the back door).
You opened a door... and another... and another. All three the some but nothing like your actual back door, but exactly like your bedroom door.
THis is where the "privacy issue" may come into play. it had no windows and it was your bedroom door, you did not open your bedroom door to go to the back door, so I am assuming you walked through an open door. That means that your life is open to the inside, your family, those whom you would readily allow entrance into your house, but to the outside, three doors! ( which may have something to do with the trinity, but I am no theologian.)
and yet, the final door was gone, the screen door, that which allows you to look out, but screens out that which you do not want to be let in. This is somewhat of a lessening of your defenses, perhaps the final ousting of the three doors of privacy.
The picked up outside...
THis represents what others see, while "your perceived reality" is a trashy yard, others see cleanness, purity.
The box of cheerios.... the circle of life, they may seem bland, but they won't choke you. A gift indeed, especially when opened--along with lowering your cholesterol--- wads of cash....
Wads, not bank envelopes. THis is the prospective coffee can of those whom those three doors and screen door kept out. It could be a friendship, or even an appreciation of the treasure in others ( this is perhaps where the trinity comes in).
a few mini-boxes... it is the same gift multiplied, if said boxes had been opened, perhaps you would have found more wads of cash. treasure upon treasure upon treasure, but you must open the first box.
The lilac bushes.... it was no accident that the box was by the lilac bushes, you are a lilac bush, and while it appeared that the bush had no buds, lilac bushes are perpetually budding, though they show no blooms it takes but a september snow and subsequent splendid weather to coax them into full bloom.
Everything is as it is now because it represents now, No snow to snow to shiver off, no green to dream of, just the ever present now. and there by you, who is always a lilac bush whether in bloom or not, is a cheerio box waiting to be opened.

I did my best. Christopher

interesting. yes my bedroom door was open. the dream was now... but maybe the cereal box was the future, a near future. I want a gift.
