Craziness. In case you hadn't guessed, there are still a lot of people without power around here.

This morning the news said that over 10,000 power poles were down, as in broken, in Western Kansas.

Mom and Dad aren't expected to get power back until late Friday, and we saw quite a few broken poles and snapped lines.

I'm not sure what the projected date is for the farm. Mom, betsy and matt left the state (for oregon) and my dad is staying in town with my cousin. Do your parents have water?

So, I didn't know mom and betsy were going to Oregon, and I guess Anna went as well...and how is dad?

Dad has a couple of generators now--one hooked up to the cattle's water and one to the main power at home, so they at least have heat, water, and electricity for the fridge and lights.

The farm is back on now. The news said that some residents of rural Haskell county may go 45 days without electricity.
