The band in my head is taking requests
Have you ever been driving listening to a random classic country cd and wondering if God was speaking to you through Lynn Anderson? I think it means that I'm tired, but "I Never Promised You a Rose Garden" should never cross your mind as being a message from the Almighty. Any suggestions for a good old country song to go through my head tomorrow that will make me feel like God is on my team?

thanks visitor( "another", was Anderson and Okie? I know Murray wasn't. MLLR is a transplant. Maybe you're one). My mom suggested "Drop kick me Jesus through the goalposts of life". Though the suggestions are me talking to God and not the other way around. Still good.

I think about God and His relationship with me and how no matter what, He is always there, loving me...so I think you are wrong...God wants you to have this song!!!

Blue Skies is also a pretend C&W song...written by Irving Berlin. A certain Johnny Paycheck song, which I don't think is inspired,goes through my head on really bad days at work. Maybe I should start listening to Anne Murray, or Louis Armstrong(who Does give you a rose garden).
If I made a compilation children's album, Johnny Paycheck's song would definitely be on it. That's an album from an aunt and not a mother for sure, but it's one of my childhood favorites.
I think mllr's choice was probably the perfect answer, so I'll leave it at that. One thing though, Jessi Colter singing "His Eye is on the Sparrow" (which is an out and out hymn and so doesn't really qualify for my question) is so perfect. Everyone needs to hear it. I believe she feels every word when she's singing.
This is my song at present:

I love Brad. I am not sure if this fits the criteria.
JMLO, that's a sweet song... except God loves everybody the same... it's hard to believe you're one in a million, though I know He loves me more than Brad loves Kimberly. Maybe I need some Lucado children's stories to read. Also family, please view the family site and comment
