Summer is all about the turtles crossing the road. This one didn't really like me and was really speedy when I got this close.

The road to breaks has signs. There is a brochure explaining each of the numbered spots. I would recommend printing it off. The only stop I didn't really enjoy was # 1 which is a trail along the Republican River. I didn't find the trail, and it was gunky and rivery down under the bridge.
